As one truly seeks to become a teacher, he
must first come to an understanding and a realization within himself,
for within our spiritually realized Self, there is a source of all knowledge
and wisdom.
We concentrate on the purification of the individual, emphasizing the "unlearning" process... Before one can become a proficient teacher, he must master the art of being a student. Savitri's techniques are derived from Premananda Deva's thirty-four year discipleship to the illumined Ananda Devi. You will gain knowledge about your Spiritual Self, about your inner nature and mind.
At the same time, you can gain the certification of a teacher with the Yoga Alliance of America, both 200-hour and 500-hour courses. This includes the mastery of Hatha Yoga, Tibetan Yoga, Pranayama, Mantra Recitation and Teaching skills for these subjects.
Savitri, the teacher of New Future Society Yoga school is the disciple of Premananda Deva who has been teaching styles of Hatha Yoga according to Vishnu Devananda and B K S Iyengar styles, and also Tibetan styles previously unknown in the West. Premananda Deva's teacher, Ananda Devi studied from the French master Dr. Thooris, who learned from a Ninety year old Japanese master who lived and studied in Tibet for over ten years. The Tibetan yoga system involves the movements of nature and animals, concentrating on free-flowing movement of the body, cultivating the spirit of letting go -- "Wu Wei".
